I'm a sociologist based at UCL, researching support networks, friendship and social infrastructure.

I've worked on health and social research projects on diverse topics with young people, families, community groups, campaign organisations and decision makers to help improve policy and practice.

I also teach at UCL Social Research Institute and UCL Institute of Health Informatics, specalising in qualitative research methods.

My new book, Precarious Motherhood, explores the experiences of racially minoritised mothers living with insecure immigration status and financial hardship in London, UK. It exposes the impact of hostile immigration policies and precarity on mothers’ interpersonal relationships and access to support. It is available open access here.
